Label information buyers should verify
A useful charger label should make the electrical match easy to check against the battery and original charger. Buyers should review the sample label before volume production.
- AC input range and frequency
- DC output voltage and current
- Battery chemistry or intended battery system
- Polarity marking where applicable
- Model number, batch reference and supplier contact
Plug and destination-market checks
Regional AC plug expectations should be confirmed early because they affect cable selection, packaging and user instructions. France, Germany, the United States and Japan can require different plug discussions for the same charger output.
- EU plug discussion for France and Germany
- US plug discussion for United States projects
- Japan plug discussion for Japan-bound orders
- Cable length and packaging requirements
Certification documents must be verified
Do not assume a charger has a certification or approval based on a similar model name. Buyers should request the exact available documents for the selected charger configuration and destination market before making claims in their own sales materials.
- Request exact model documentation
- Match documents to output and plug configuration
- Avoid unverified CE, UL, UKCA, PSE or other claims
- Keep certificate review separate from connector compatibility
Sample approval before production
Before a volume order, evaluate the sample with the intended battery system and confirm charging behavior, label content, plug type, cable length, packaging and any OEM artwork.
